Panasonic India has recently launched a low-end smartphone called as Panasonic T50 priced at Rs. 4,990. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based all-new Panasonic SAIL UI out of the box. Now, the company has launched a mid-range smartphone called as Panasonic Eluga Arc in India. The Eluga Arc is the rebranded Coolpad Torino S smartphone that launched in Vietnam in February. The device is priced at Rs. 12,490 and is available for purchase via both the online and offline platforms across the country.
Coming to the specifications part, the Eluga Arc features a 4.7-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD IPS display offering a pixel density of 312ppi and 2.5D arc glass laid on top. Under the hood, the smartphone comes equipped with 64-bit Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz clubbed with Adreno 305 GPU and 2GB of RAM for lag-free and smooth performance. It features hybrid sim slot that can be used as an externalSD card slot instead of the second sim.
On the camera front, the device sports an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera for video calling and selfie lovers. It supports dual sim dual standby and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based company’s customized UI overlaid. The device includes standard connectivity options like 4G-LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth and microUSB 2.0 port. The handset packs an 1800mAh battery that we feel is slightly underpowered to last for an entire day.
The smartphone includes a fingerprint sensor at the back of the unit for enhanced security and also comes with an Infrared sensor for controlling the home appliances. The dimensions of the handset measure 139 x 67 x 8.1 mm weighs around 130 grams and comes in Gold color option. The Panasonic Eluga Arc comes with decent features but at this price tag, there are few other options like Redmi Note 3, LeEco Le 1s and Lenovo K4 Note that offers even better specifications at a lesser price.
