Not sure of what’s going on with LG Electronics mind but Panasonic calmness now looks to have clear intention. The company now looks to expand in the market of Android through the tablet segment but not through the mobiles and smartphones. The news is that Panasonic has unveiled the Toughpad family of Android powered tablets PCs.
Panasonic with Toughpad family introduces both 7 inches and 10 inches tablets. The first model is the Panasonic Toughpad A1 which is a 10 inches tablet featuring 1.2 Ghz dual core processor having the FIPS 140x compliance and it will be among those few tablets which would include the 4G LTE speed or the WiMAX connectivity to get the faster data speed.

The Panasonic ToughPad A1 is a 10.1 inches tablet with XGA capacitive multi-touch input. The screen is anti-reflective, anti-glare treated and includes built-in ambient light sensor with 500 nits. The tablet includes 5 mega pixel cameras on the rear side and 2 mega pixel front facing camera which can be used for video calls and video chat apart from normal photos. The good thing about this tablet is that it includes various connectivity options of 4G LTE or WiMAX, Wi-Fi 80.2 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot and Bluetooth connectivity for wireless file transfer.
This tablet receives the IP65 certifications as this tablet is able to withstand a various temperature and gets IP 65 certification as it’s a dust and water-resistant tablet. So this tablet can bear and work in any condition and it will not be broken too. The tablet is powered with the mobile industry currently trending dual core 1.2 Ghz processor with embedded hardware security. Not only that, this tablet is Android OS based and the latest one too with Honeycomb 3.2. Among the various connectivity options it includes micro USB, microSDHC and micro HDMI port. Beside that you can access Android market and Honeycomb OS of Android would make it perfect.
It includes a Li-ion battery with 33.9 Wh which powers this tablet for a battery life of 10 hours in approximate. It comes with 16 GB of internal memory and includes a microSD card to provide an optional expansion of memory to add with up to 32 GB in size. The ToughPad A1 tablet will be available in Spring 2012 starting at a price of $ 1299. The tablet can be purchased at authorized Panasonic resellers. Toughpad family of tablets comes with industry’s three years of warranty.
