Pantech has announced a new Android phablet that packs in some excellent specs, and that comes with something which the HTC One Max was expected to come with – Fingerprint reader. The Pantech Vega Secret Note comes with a 5.9-inch Full HD touchscreen display, an LCD one with the resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The internal specs of the Secret Note include Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC processor and 3 GB of RAM.
Most of the specifications get along with the new Samsung Galaxy Note 3 device, because there is a similar processor, same RAM and resolution, and there’s a stylus provided too, but the screen size of the Note 3 was 5.7-inch. Similarly, there is a 13-megapixel camera located on the top left corner of the back panel with the LED flash, and the front facing camera of this phablet is capable of recording videos at 1080p resolution. It would be running the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS and the device would be coming with the 32GB of internal storage, which unsurprisingly can be expanded with the MicroSD card support.
Being 8.85mm thick, the Pantech Vega Secret Note weighs quite much with the 190gm weight, and the battery included is again similar to the Note 3 with the 3200 mAh battery capacity. For now, this device is being made available in Korea, and it would be sold through all the three major carriers in Korea, with the White and Black color choices, where certainly the white should look better to show the fingerprint reader clearly.
The pricing at which it would be available, is $839 which is the off-contract price, but that’s quite high for the brand, though the device has packed in some of the best specs a smartphone / phablet in the current market has got.
