Phicomm has today launched an ultra-low cost 4G-LTE enabled smartphone called as Phicomm Energy 2 E670 in India. The smartphone is the successor of the Phicomm Energy 653 that launched last year, and it comes with few upgraded specifications. The Phicomm Energy 2 E670 priced at Rs. 5,499 comes in Black color variant and is available for sale online exclusively via Snapdeal.
Coming to the specifications part, the Phicomm Energy 670 features a 5-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD IPS display offering a pixel density of 294ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 laid on top for protection. Under the hood, it comes equipped with similar Snapdragon 210 quad-core SoC clocked at 1.1GHz paired with Adreno 304 GPU as earlier seen on the Phicomm Energy 653. The smartphone supports dual sim dual standby and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.
On the camera front, the smartphone sports an 8MP rear camera with autofocus, LED flash and a 2MP front shooter for video calling and selfie lovers. The device comes with standard connectivity options like 4G-LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and a microUSB 2.0 port. It has higher 2GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage and also includes a microSD card slot for further expansion upto 64GB when compared to its predecessor that comes with 1GB of RAM & 8GB of storage.
The handset powers a 2300mAh battery that the company claims can deliver upto 7 hours of talk time and upto 250 hours of standby time. The device also sports DTS audio technology for enhanced sound experience. The dimensions of the smartphone measure 144 x 70 x 8 mm and will come in Black, White and Gold color variants. At this price tag, the Phicomm Energy 670 is the perfect budget smartphone and will be a good competitor for the likes of recently launched Infocus Bingo 21 and Intex Cloud 4G Smart.
