Earlier, we exclusively reported about Philips launching a new Anti-Blue screen smartphone called as Philips S616 in China priced at $220. Now, the company has made its debut in Russian market by launching a new battery-focused smartphone named as Philips Xenium V377. The device will go on sale in Russia later this month and is priced at 8,990 rubles (approx $130/Rs. 8,700).
The main USP of the device it comes backed by a 5000mAh battery that can offer upto 29 hours of talk time, 29 days of standby time and allows you to play almost 3150 music tracks on a single charge. The smartphone also supports Quick Charge and also comes with Energy Saving mode for enhanced battery life of the device.
Coming to its specifications, the Xenium V377 flaunts a 5-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD IPS display with pixel density of 294ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top of it. Under the hood, it comes powered by MediaTek MT6580 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz paired with Mali 400 GPU and 1GB of RAM. The device has 8GB of built-in storage and also includes a microSD card slot for expansion upto 32GB.
On the photographic section, the device features a 5MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front-facing camera for video chats and selfie clicks. The smartphone supports dual sim dual standby and comes with basic connectivity options like 2G/3G, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB port. The handset runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. Its dimensions measure 145 x 74 x 10.9 mm weighs around 188.5 grams and is available in Black color option.
