QiKU Terra 810 & Terra 808 with USB Type-C Port to Launch in India on Nov 27th

Update Nov 25, 2015: After recently confirming about the launch of Qiku Terra smartphones in the Indian market. Today, Qiku has officially sent out media invites for the launch of Qiku Terra 808 and Qiku Terra 810 smartphones in an event scheduled for November 27. Both the smartphones sports metal body and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based 360 OS. Stay tuned for more details about the pricing and availability of the smartphones.

Earlier Nov 6, 2015: QiKU, a collaboration between security specialist turned smartphone maker Qihoo 360 and Coolpad launched the QiKU Terra smartphone powered by Snapdragon 808 SoC in China priced at $314 a couple of weeks ago. The company claims that it sold 35000 units of QiKU Terra smartphone in 5 seconds of its first flash sale in China. Now, the company is all set to enter the Indian smartphone market by launching the successful QiKU Terra smartphone in two variants called QiKU Terra 810 and QiKU Terra 808.

The QiKU Terra 810 flaunts a phablet sized 6-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) 2K display with 2.5D arc glass on top of it. Under the hood is the 64-bit Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor clocked at 2.0 GHz coupled with Adreno 430 GPU. The device comes with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of onboard storage with microSD card slot for further expansion. .

On the camera cordon, the smartphone sports dual 13MP rear cameras with Sony’s IMX278 sensor, f/1.8 aperture and LED flash. On the front, there is an 8MP shooter to capture the perfect selfie images. The device includes a fingerprint scanner on the rear side and also features a USB Type-C port for faster charging and data sharing.

The smartphone supports dual sim dual standby and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based company’s 360 OS. The handset comes backed by a 3700 mAh battery and includes connectivity options like 4G-LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and a microUSB port.

QiKU Terra 808

The QiKU Terra 808 is the slightly downgraded variant of the QiKU Terra 810. The smartphone comes with a large 6-inch (1080×1920 pixels) Full-HD display and comes powered by Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz paired with Adreno 430 GPU. The device comes with 3GB RAM, 16GB built-in storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card slot. Apart from this all other specifications are similar to the high-end QiKU Terra 810 smartphone.
