How to Root Galaxy Note N7000 on ZSLPF 4.0.3 Firmware

Galaxy NOTE REDHere comes the root for ZSLPF 4.0.3 firmware which you just updated recently in your Galaxy Note N7000 smartphone. Just in case if you are wondered on why one has to root the device, then we would like to tell you that once you root the device, you can then install the custom ROM firmwares in your device along with the apps which need the root access. We will soon be coming out with the custom ROM firmwares based on ZSLPF ones it’s developed by the developers. Please follow all the instructions mentioned in the article so as to ensure that the Galaxy Note is rooted successfully.

CAUTION: This procedure should ONLY be applied to the Galaxy Note N7000 device which is on ZSLPF firmware and not on any other firmware.

Procedure to Root Galaxy Note N7000 on ZSLPF 4.0.3 Firmware:

  • Download the Rooting Package from here to your computer along with the Odin. Now, extract the Rooting zip file to get the tar file.

  • Open the Odin in your computer and turn Off your Galaxy Note so that it can be then entered in the download mode.

  • Turn off your Galaxy Note so that it can be then entered in the Download Mode. Download mode can be entered by pressing  Volume Down Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button. Now, a Warning message will be shown when you need to press the Volume Up key to continue entering the Download Mode.
  • Up next, you need to connect your NOTE N7000 to the computer and once connected, you will see that the ID : COM section will turn yellow which will indicate that all the drivers have installed successfully and you are ready to proceed to the next step.

Note: Just in case the ID : COM section doesn’t turn Yellow, you need to follow the below mentioned steps.

  • Install the USB Drivers in your computer & Go to the Path “Settings > Wireless & Network > USB Settings” &
  • Ensure that “Samsung KIES” option is ticked before connecting the phone to the computer.
  • Click on “PDA” and select “CF-Root-SGN_ZS_OZS_LPF-v5.3-CWM5” from the extracted file. Once the file is selected, click on “Start” to start the process of rooting. It will take around 3 – 4 minutes for the process to complete and show up the home screen.

  • Once you see the home screen, disconnect the phone from computer and turn off the device so that it can be then entered in the recovery mode.
  • Recovery mode can be entered by pressing Volume Down Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button. Now, a Warning message will be shown when you need to press the Volume Down key to continue entering the Recovery Mode.

  • In recovery mode, all you need to do is to just select Wipe data/factory reset and also you need to select Wipe Cache partition for clearing all the data. Or else, you can directly choose the option of “reboot system now” for rebooting the phone if you don’t wish to lost the data.

Note: At any point of time just in case if the process of firmware update gets stopped due to any reason, all you need to do is restart the process from the start by re inserting the battery.
