Procedure to Root HTC Inspire 4G Android Smartphone:
- First up you need to Download the Ace Hack Kit which is nothing but a zip package which contains all the essential tools which will help you to root your device in your computer.
- After downloading the tool, extract the same and connect your HTC Inspire 4G smartphone with the help of the original USB Cable. Ensure that you are making use of the USB Port which is there at the back of your CPU and not any other USB port.
- After this, open the extracted folder which you have downloaded and right click on the script file and run the same as Administrator. The file name is hack-ace.cmd“.
- Now, you will see that the command prompt window will be opened as shown in the below screen shot and then type 1 to select “Hack Ace” and press ENTER key in our keyboard.
- Now, this script will perform a series of steps which will include the following;
Copy the needed files
Root the phone temporarily
Turn your SD card into a goldcard (required for setting S-OFF)
Activating S-OFF
Setting SuperCID
Unlocking the phone from network/carrier (SIM unlock)
Install ClockworkMod Recovery
Root the phone permanently
Install the Superuser app and binaries
- Now after the command processing is done, the phone will be rebooted several times. Ensure that at this point of time you are not removing the USB cable connected from the computer.
- Once the device is restarted, you need to re connect the device by removing the phone from your computer and then you will have to open the command prompt in your computer. Change the directory to when you have extracted the Advanced Ace Hack kit and then followed by that, change the directory by entering the commands in the command prompt “cd tools” and “cd win”.
- Now, you will have to enter the command as “adb reboot recovery” which will reboot the phone in the clockwork mod recovery. Next up you will have to enter the command as “adb reboot boot loader” which will reboot the phone in the fastboot mode. Now, you will see that the boot loader screen at the top as “S-Off”
- Next up reboot the phone in the normal mode. In the phone, you now need to launch the Busy box installer application and install the busy box. Also, you need to open the Super user app which will prompt for the permission which you need to “Allow” the same.
Tip: Just in case if due to some reasons if the rooting process gets failed or interrupted, then you need to apply the update again by following the steps again from the start. Don’t forget to restore the backup which you have taken in the initial steps.
