Lenovo unveiled the A6000 smartphone, one of the cheapest 4G LTE smartphones, at the CES in Las Vegas in January 2015.
The Lenovo A6000 is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset with 1.2GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 processor. The Adreno 306 graphic processor promises brilliant HD viewing as well as 3D experience. The phone supports both LTE bands in India – FDD 1800MHz (Band 3) and TDD 2300MHz (Band 40).
It has an internal memory of 8GB, expandable up to 32GB. The phone also features an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera for selfies. The A6000 has a 2,300 mAh battery and sports a 5-inch display.

Pre-Requisites
- Ensure the device has at least 70% battery charge to prevent unexpected device shutdown (due to battery drain).
- The instructions given in this guide are meant for Lenovo A6000 smartphone only.
- Verify correct USB drivers for the device are installed on the computer.
- Enable USB Debugging mode via Settings and Developer Options.
- Backup your Device: Back up important data and stuff.

Steps To Root The Lenovo A6000 Smartphone
- Download the Root-SuperSU-v2.37.zip file.
- Place the file in the internal storage or external storage of your device.
- Boot your device into recovery mode.Follow the instructions below to boot into recovery mode:
- Power OFF your device and wait 4-5 seconds after lights go off.
- Press and hold Power + Volume Up + Volume Down button together for a few seconds and then release the buttons as soon as you see the boot menu screen.
- Now, select “install zip” from storage and browse to the folder where you have downloaded the Root-SuperSU-v2.37.zip
- Once done with the installation process, navigate to ‘+++++Go Back+++++’ and re-start the device by opting “reboot system now” seen in the recovery menu.
You can download the “Root Checker” app from the Google Play Store to check on whether the device is rooted or not.
