How to Root LG G Stylo Android Phone – Guide

LG G Stylo is the latest android device which has been announced by LG and for all those who wanted to root the device can easily do so. Once rooted users can then do a whole new world of things with the device like uninstalling the stock apps from the device or also an apply custom ROM firmwares in their device to make the most out of it. So let’s check out the quick pre requisites after which let’s head to the detailed guide which will help you update the device.

Quick Pre Requisites:

Make sure that you take a backup of all the data in your device as updating the device firmware will wipe your phone completely. With the help of below apps/ tips you can backup data present in your device.

SMS – SMS Backup & Restore
Call Log – Call Log Backup and Restore
Photos, Music and Videos – Take manual backup in your computer,
App Data – App history can be found in Google Play Store but the downloaded data in your apps will be lost and will have to be downloaded.

Battery left in your device should be a more than 50%.

Download LG Drivers in your computer and restart the computer post installation, you need to reboot the computer.

Procedure to Root LG G Stylo Android phone:

Download LG G Stylo Rooting Tool in your computer and then unzip the same to your desktop.

Now, reboot your device in the download mode and connect the same to the computer using original USB cable.

In extracted folder of firmware, open “ports.bat” file. Now, press Shift + Right Click to open command prompt window in your computer to enter the below mentioned command;

Now, you need to press ENTER so that device will then be rebooted. Now, disconnect the device from computer to download “Root Checker” app from Google Play Store.
