How to Root Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 on Gingerbread 2.3.6 DDLB1 Firmware

Procedure to Root Galaxy NOTE N7000 on DDLB1 Firmware:

  • After this, you need to open the Odin in your computer. After this, Enable the USB debugging in your Galaxy NOTE from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”. The USB Debugging option should be ticked. USB Debugging Mode can only be enabled once you disconnect the phone from computer. USB Debugging should be ticked.

  • Turn Off your Note to enter it in the Download Mode. Download mode can be entered by pressing  Volume Down Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button. Just in case if the device boots in the normal mode then you will have to again try the process of entering into the download mode.

  • Once the device is entered in the download mode, you now need to connect the device to the computer with the help of USB cable while keeping the Odin opened in your computer. ID : COM section will turn Yellow which will mean that all the drivers have been successfully installed and you are ready to select the file in Odin.
  • In Odin, click on “PDA” to select “CF-Root-SGN_XX_OXA_LB1-v5.0-CWM5”. Click on “Start” to start the process of rooting and once the rooting process is done, the phone will be automatically rebooted
  • Once the device is rooted and rebooted successfully, you need to remove the connected USB cable and turn Off the device so that the device can be entered in the recovery mode.
  • Recovery mode can be entered by pressing Volume Up Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button. Just in case if the device boots in the normal mode then you will have to again try the process of entering into the recovery mode.

  • In recovery mode, select options Wipe data/factory reset and also you need to select Wipe Cache partition after which you need to reboot your device by selecting “reboot system now” after which all the cache files will get deleted.

After this, select “++++ Go Back ++++” and select “reboot system now” to restart the device. So there you go you have now successfully rooted the device on DDLB1 Firmware. Do let us know in the comments section just in case if you face any issues as we will try our level best to sort out the same.
