Tutorial to Root Xperia S on 63 and 67 Build of firmwares:
- Download the Xperia S 63 Rooting Firmware Package or Xperia S 67 Rooting Firmware Package from here to your computer. Once it’s done, you then will have to turn Off your device so that it can then be entered in the Fast boot recovery mode.
- Turn phone off, hold Volume UP button and plug in USB Cable for entering the device in the Fast Boot recovery mode.
- Now, you will need to open the command prompt in your computer and then enter the below mentioned command as mentioned below,
fastboot flash system system_xps_prerooted_63fw.img or
fastboot flash system system_xps_prerooted_67fw.img
Once the process of rooting is done, the device will be restarting and there you go, you have successfully rooted your phone.
Tip: Due to some reasons if the update process gets failed or interrupted, then you need to apply the update again by following the steps again from the start. Don’t forget to restore the backup which you have taken in the initial steps.
