Procedure to Root SONY Xperia NEO on ICS Android 4.0.4 Firmware:
- Connect your device to the computer with the help of original USB cable with all apps closed and also if possible you can clear the RAM from the Manage Applications.
- Go to C:/ Drive > flashtool > firmwares > delete everything present and Put the kernel which you have downloaded in your computer. After this, download Flashtool & Kernel from here to your computer.
- Now from the extracted files, Open the Flash tool and then click on the flashing icon (left side below “file” option) to Select flash mode > ok.
- Once the flashing process is completed, you then will have to turn ON the device. Please note that the device may take longer time than expected to get turn On and may stuck on SONY logo for a longer period of time. At this point of time its recommended to wait till it boots up.
- To check whether the device is rooted or not, download “Root Checker” app from Google PLAY Store and check the same on whether your device is rooted or not. If your device is not rooted, you can re-apply the whole rooting process again.
Note: If your Xperia RAY is not rooted successfully, you then will have to hard press the Power button to turn Off the same and reapply the whole procedure to start from the scratch.
