Root Verizon Galaxy S4 on VRUAMD2 Jellyean 4.1.2 Firmware – Guide

Procedure to Root Verizon Galaxy S4 on VRUAMD2 Jellybean 4.1.2 Firmware:

  • Before proceeding, make sure that your phone is on VRUAMD2 firmware. To check, you need to head over to the path “Settings > More > About Device > Baseband Version”.
  • Download the Rooting Package and Odin from here to your computer and extract both the files in your computer.
  • Open Odin in your computer and turn Off your device so that it can be entered in the Download Mode. The download mode in Galaxy S4 can be entered by pressing  Volume Down Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button. Now, a Warning message will be shown when you need to press the Volume Up key to continue entering the Download Mode.
  • Connect your Galaxy S4 to the computer with the help of original USB cable and select the file which you got after extracting the PDA zip package.
  • Once selected, click on “START” for starting the process of rooting. Once the device is rooted, the phone will be rebooted.
  • To check on whether your phone is rooted or not, you can check the same from the “Root Checker” app from the Google PLAY Store.

Note: Just in a rare case if your Samsung device refuses to turn ON or say if it gets stuck on the Samsung Logo then you need to long press the power button to turn off the same or re insert the battery to start the process from beginning.
