After the recent spot light of the Samsung Galaxy S2 arrival, it’s now time to move on and am not talking about the arrival of Samsung Galaxy S 3 which will come out at the second half of the year 2011 but a sub phone or say a sibling of the Samsung Galaxy S2 which is dubbed as the Samsung Galaxy Z which is actually an affordable version of the Galaxy S2 I9100. Slimmed and trimmed, the Samsung Galaxy Z phone is one of the phones which has been unveiled in the Sweden, though there is not yet any confirmation on its arrival in other parts of the World but it’s expected that soon it will be launched all over World.
If this gets launched then it will have to compete with other phone of the same series that is the Samsung Galaxy Ace which too is a mid-end phone with great set of hardware and graphics. The placement in terms of price will be in the mid-range and might just replace the Galaxy Ace handset in the near future. If we talk of features then this doesn’t seem to disappoint any one as apart from the Screen size everything else seem to be same as that of the Galaxy S2 Phone.
The only difference when we compare with the Galaxy S2 is that the Galaxy Z has a 4.2 inch screen with the Super Clear WVGA LCD screen in place of the Super AMOLED Plus screen for Galaxy S2 and also unlike the Tegra 2 processor of 1.2 GHz in Galaxy S2, the Galaxy Z comes along with the 1 GHz of dual core processor with the tegra 2 chipset. Other features includes the 5 MP camera which is capable of the 720 p video recording, 4x zoom and HD video recording support and also last but not the least this phone will cost anything between $ 600 – $ 650 though this may vary from place to place. The screen of this phone is almost as bright as that of Samsung Galaxy S2.
Other standard features includes the GPS, Wi Fi with b / g / n support, FM Radio along with the 8GB internal memory support which is the on board memory and also this phone comes along with the support of the microSD card slot up which can accommodate a maximum of memory card up to 32GB.
