The device is the successor of the Galaxy Core that was launched last year and will have a 4.5 inch touch screen display with 800 x 480 pixel resolutions. There is a 5 MP rear facing camera with LED flash and it is accompanied with a VGA camera on the front for video calling and selfies. The connectivity of the device includes 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS + GLONASS and it will be powered by a 2000 mAh battery on the back. The successor of the Samsung Galaxy Core has been spotted in one of the leaks, and the device is named as the Samsung Galaxy Core 2 with the product code SM-G355H in Russia. Two images of this smart phone has been leaked that are showing the sleek design and the capacitive back and recent apps buttons along with one physical home button. This device has a 4.5 inch screen and also is a dual SIM variant. The device is most likely to hit the Russian market on May 20th and will be priced around RUR9,990 ($277).

The Samsung Galaxy Core 2 has a 4.5 inch WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) touch screen display with is litter bigger that the Samsung Galaxy Core that had a 4.3 inch display. Moreover the device is powered by an unknown 1.2 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 512 MB of RAM. The device will be running on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box with Samsungs own TouchWiz on top. At the back of the device there is a 2000 mAh battery to power the device.

Coming to the cameras section on the device, we have a 5 MP sensor at the rear and a VGA front facing camera.
