Samsung’s latest mid-range smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Core was quite a hit because it had no much competition except from the Sony Xperia M, and the company is now making that even better with the Samsung Galaxy Core Plus SM-G350 being unveiled in Taiwan, and this would be followed by the release in the different markets very soon. The smartphone is listed on the Samsung Taiwan website and it is currently available for the price of 7,990 TWD (US$270).
Just similar to the Galaxy Core, Samsung has included a 4.3-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with the 480 x 800 pixels resolution, and internally there is a 1.2 GHz processor which is again the same. Interestingly, Samsung has decided to bring out the Galaxy Core Plus as a downgraded smartphone, without any reason as the Galaxy Core with some improvements might have been a better choice.
It would run the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS and the RAM included in the Galaxy Core Plus is 768MB while the internal storage packed in is 4GB, having an option to expand that externally using a MicroSD card. Weighing 134gm, the Galaxy Core Plus is 9.4mm thick and slightly thicker than the Galaxy Core. There is a 1800 mAh battery packed in, and the phone comes with a 50GB of Dropbox cloud storage for free, which obviously is for not more than a year.
The smartphone supports the 3G connectivity, with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS as the other connectivity options. It is going to be available first in the Taiwan market, and then would be launched in the other markets.
