Samsung has made the Galaxy J device official for the winter lineup of devices with the NTT DoCoMo network, and it comes with the 5-inch 1080p Full HD display, which is a Super AMOLED one with the pixel density 441ppi. The processor that is included in the Galaxy J, is the latest best 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974) processor which gets a support from 3GB of RAM.

Running the latest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS, the Galaxy J from Samsung could be the Japan-only device, given the name. It sports a 13.2-megapixel rear camera with the BSI sensor which can capture videos at 1080p resolution. The front camera is a 2.1-megapixel lens, and it can record HD videos. Connectivity is excellent in the Xperia J, where you get to see Xi LTE (up to 150Mbps), Wi-Fi 802.11ac (HT80), Bluetooth v4.0 LE, GPS and NFC, and the battery included has a capacity of 2600 mAh. The color options included are Coral Pink, Satin White and Lapis Blue and the device would be officially available from the end of October via NTT DoCoMo. The pricing details are not known yet.

The current month isn’t only about the Note or Xperia series, because companies have started coming up with the combination of flagships to come up with a new handset. The example for that, is the Samsung Galaxy J, the Japanese version Galaxy which holds the specifications of the two high-end devices together – Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy S4. This high-end Android device is said to be coming with the NTT DoCoMo carrier in Japan, and this could be a device limited only for that region.

The device isn’t made official yet, and just a few leaks are out and thus we could get to know most of them through GSMArena. The NTT DoCoMo has listed the device under the Winter lineup of devices but as it isn’t official, here are the details leaked about the Galaxy J:

  • 5-inch 1080p Full HD display
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC processor
  • 3GB of RAM
  • Android Jelly Bean OS

There is no confirmation about the exact Jelly Bean version which the device would be running, but going by the given specs, that is a real combination of the two devices because the screen size comes from the S4 and the processor and RAM comes from one of the variants of the Note 3. Samsung hasn’t done much in the waterproofing segment, and thus there is no information whether this device would be a waterproof one or not.

The phone is to come with three color options – Coral Pink, Satin White, and Lapis Blue. And it is the pink color whose photo has been leaked, and haven’t seen many other devices from various brands coming up with the pink color, specifically in the Japanese and Korean markets? they do sell a lot there.

All that said, the device is expected to be officially announced on October 10th. Let’s wait for the official details to be out soon.
