Samsung Galaxy J7 Perx with 2GB RAM Now Available at Sprint for $265

Last month, Verizon and Tracfone launched the Galaxy J7 2017 as Galaxy J7 V & Galaxy J7 Sky Pro under their networks. Now, the same device is launched by Sprint as Galaxy J7 Perx in the U.S. It comes is priced at $265 outright without any contracts or $11 per month for the next 24 months without any upfront fees. It sports same design as of the Galaxy J3 2017 with the large camera strip on the rear. The device sports polycarbonate shell with a removable back panel. Below the display, we can find the physical home button with two capacitive buttons on either side of it.

It comes with a 5.5-inch display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution and is powered by the power-efficient Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz. There is also 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. It runs on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat with the TouchWiz UI laid on top. On the camera front, there is an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP selfie camera on the front. The Galaxy J7 Perx is backed by a 3,300mAh removable Li-ion battery that is a rated to give up to 40 hours of talk time.

The device measures 5.54″ x 2.76″ x 0.34″ and weighs 4.87 oz. It also supports Sprint’s 4G LTE Plus network that can give more 100 Mbps download speeds. The power button is placed on the right edge, whereas the volume rocker can be found on the opposite side. The earlier launched Galaxy J3 Emerge (a.k.a Galaxy J3 2017) came with a smaller 5-inch display with the same HD resolution. It packs Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor and came with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box. It includes 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, same as its elder sibling.

There is also a MicroSD card slot for further expansion of storage. In the camera department, the Galaxy J3 Emerge sports a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP fixed focus front camera. With the smaller form factor, the device includes a smaller 2,600mAh battery. While the Galaxy J7 Prex is priced at $265, the Galaxy J3 Emerge is retailing at ‎$235. Both the devices come with same connectivity options including the 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm Audio port, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port.
