Samsung doesn’t need any Consumer Electronics Show booth to promote their upcoming devices. Samsung is now a bigger brand competing Nokia and Apple. After the launch of 5 inches and 4 incehs Galaxy Players, Samsung now has come up with a smaller version of Galaxy Player and as a result Galaxy Player 3.6 is born with model number YP GS1 in Korea.
Coming to the specifications of Galaxy Player 3.6 it will run on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, powered with 1.0 Ghz Hummingbird processor and as the name itself indicate, one can easily guess that it will be sporting 3.6 inches screen with 480 x 800 pixels resolution. Here I should mention that it has no AMOLED display. I don’t know the exact reason why it comes with normal display. It will also include 3 mega pixel camera and VGA front camera along with the like such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and other exiting stuff like access to Android Market and lot more expect voice calls.
This move of launching the Galaxy Player is to compete with Apple with their iPod Touch. Galaxy Player 3.6 will be made available in the South Korean market soon and the international availability will be followed soon. No AMOLED display so it will be priced for 2,00,000 won which is equivalent to USD 173. If you are looking for the alternative of the iPod Touch then better get Galaxy S Wi-Fi 3.6 player.
