Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Galaxy Tab S 10.5 Launched in India – Details

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Galaxy Tab S 10.5 that were announced few days before has been launched by the company today as the company promised. These devices will be flaunting 8.4 inch and 10.5 inch Super AMOLED display respectively as their names suggests and are priced at Rs. 37,800 and Rs 44,800 respectively in India.

Moreover these devices will be featuring WQXGA resolutions with Adaptive Display for automatic adjustment, 90 % of Adobe RGB colour coverage for accurate colour output. These devices will be powered by an Octa core Exynos processor (A15 1.9 GHz + A7 1.3 GHz) coupled with 3 GB of RAM. Both the devices will run Android 4.4 KitKat Operating System out of the box.

Both the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Galaxy Tab S 10.5 will be available in 16 GB / 32 GB variants and the memory can be extended up to 128 GB via micro SD card slot. The battery on the devices are little different here as the smaller 8.4 inch tab features 4900 mAh battery and the 10.5 inch battery will be featuring a 7900 mAh battery.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Galaxy Tab S 10.5 will be coming in Titanium Bronze and White colour variants and are priced at Rs. 37,800 and Rs. 44,800 respectively. The company is also giving an introductory offer of 9 GB of 3G / 2G data from reliance and for pre-booking the Tab S between 1 to 11th July via eStore and any outlets will be getting a free book cover accessory.

According to the internal sources from the company, the Samsung Tab S is going to launch on July 1st in India. The tablet devices were announced recently with some excellent specs and a few color options, and Samsung is going to hold an event on 1st July to launch these tablet devices in the Indian market. All details about Samsung Tab S

Samsung has launched a tablet which is going to be a competitor directly to Apple’s iPad. The name which Samsung has come up with is Samsung Galaxy Tab S. The Tab S comes in 2 variants – 10.5 inches and 8.4 inches. The Galaxy tab series is equivalent to the Galaxy Note phablet line, which is geared toward artists. The Tab S comes with a feature known as Finger Scanner which recognizes the finger and makes a dedicated lock pattern which can be open only by an individual person, just like in the Galaxy S5.

The design exterior of the tablet looks like the Samsung flagship phone S5, the faux-leather finish behind the tab and even come in same colours. The Samsung Tab S comes in two colour options, Dazzling White and Titanium Bronze. The Dazzling white Tab S has a creamy white back with rose gold edges which shimmer in lights. The Titanium Bronze version has a darker faux-leather back with dark bronze accents. Samsung has also introduced accessories with Tab S line up like Book cover, Simple cover and a Bluetooth keyboard. The covers come in black, white, ivory, red, blue and navy. The Tab S has a basic cover, but it folds into different modes for viewing and typing. The covers are dimpled and also made of faux leather. There are actual buttons on the back of the cover’s, when pressed it locks with a click.

The Bluetooth keyboard which comes with the tab has a same design language. The keyboard is designed for 10.5 inches of Galaxy Tab S. The two Tab S variants have the following displays – 10.5-inch (2560×1600 pixels screen resolution) and other is 8.4 inches TFT display with S-AMOLED (Super AMOLED) technology. Samsung has developed an adaptive display which is able to take light readings from around the device and make the colours to look better on the tab. The thickness of the devices is just 6mm (0.23 inches). The Samsung Tab S comes in two variants – Exynos Octa core processor clocks at 1.9/1.3 GHz with Mali-T628 GPU for Asian countries and other is Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor clocks at 2.3 GHz with Adreno 330 GPU for U.S and other countries. Both the variants are supported by 3 GB of RAM. It comes with the internal storage options 16 or 32GB as well as can be expanded by MicroSD card slot up to 128 GB. Both the versions of the Tab run Android Kitkat 4.4 OS.

The camera present on both the devices includes an 8-megapixel rear shooter with LED flash and a 2.1-Megapixel front facing shooter. The camera present on the rear is in centre of the device near the long top edge of the tab. In terms of battery capacity, the 10.5 boasts 7900 mAh while the 8.4 features 4900 mAh battery. Samsung has also launched a service known as Music Milk Service which will be only available at Samsung Tab S variants.
The Tab S 10.5 inch has a capability to replace the laptop, the Bluetooth keyboard can make it as a great overall device for people who are travelling and want a light device which can be carried. The Tab S will be starting at a price of $499 for 10.5 and $399 for 8.4 inches.

The South Korean electronics giant, Samsung is ready to launch their new tablets called as Tab S 8.4 and Tab S 10.5 at the Galaxy Premier 2014 event. These devices were leaked earlier also and this time the prolific leaker @evleaks has come up with the specifications of both these tablets and as the name suggest they will be flaunting 8.4 and 10.5 inch displays respectively with WQXGA display. Both the tablets will be available in Exynos5422 octa-core variant or in Snapdragon 800 and also in the LTE variant.

According to the leaks both, Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Galaxy Tab S 10.5 will have almost similar specifications but will but with different screen sizes and battery. These devices are expected to come in dark or light colours and will be getting all other details after the launch.

The South Korean Giant is reportedly planning to launch a new series of premium Tablets which will be branded as Galaxy Tab S. Samsung has been making number of new tablets and smartphones in all ranges and now again it is coming up with these Galaxy Tab S series devices. It is expected that the company will be launching these tablets in two different sizes, one at 8.4 inches and other one litter bigger in size at 10.5 inches.

These tablets are rumored to be coming with AMOLED panels which will sport a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. Samsung has been using the AMOLED displays in the Smartphones only till now except for once when they used this AMOLED panel for tablet. We would really love to see these AMOLED panels on the tablets and Samsung is planning to offer this with the Galaxy S series.

Not just the AMOLED display the company planning to add the fingerprint scanner option to these tablets that we have seen in the company’s flagship device Samsung Galaxy S5. It will also feature all the software features of the scanner from the company’s flagship device and it will also allow multiple users to log into the device with different profiles using their fingerprint.

More over Galaxy Tab S series devices will be powered by the latest Octa core Exynos 5 (5420) SoC processor coupled with ARM Mali-T628 GPU and 3 GB of RAM. Definitely these devices will run on the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system and expected to come with an on-board memory of 16 GB that can be extended using microSD card. Other than these they will have a 8 MP rear facing camera with Full HD 1080p recording accompanied with 2.1 MP front facing camera for video calling.

Nothing much about these tablets are known yet but can expect Samsung to come out with these devices any time and announce them. As these are just rumors, you should be taking this news with a pinch of salt. Hope these devices come soon, and do comment on the plan of implementing AMOLED screens on Tablets.
