Samsung Gear A – Circular Android SmartWatch with Super AMOLED display & more – Details

If all goes as per the leads, Samsung is all set to announce the launch of a new smartwatch dubbed as Galaxy Gear A. Galaxy Gear A smart watch may come in up to 3 different variants. It all started with Moto 360 android watch and then followed by LG G Watch R and G Watch Urbane which too are circular. Technically speaking, most of the smartwatches have round dial and not square or any other shape. As per the leaks, Samsung is internally running an internal project called as “Orbis” for the same. This smart watch is also supposedly be coming with the support of Samsung Pay as well.

Samsung is reportedly coming with 3 different variants of the smart watch which are SM-R720, SM-R730 and the SM-R732. While it’s not clear on whether these watches have different dial sizes or not, but this one may just come with different build materials at different price points similar to that of Apple smart watches.

Recently, Samsung also had announced the Tizen SDK for its upcoming wearable device back in May 2015. It’s also doing the rumors that Samsung might just come with the circular / rotating wearable design. Galaxy Gear A might just come with the Super AMOLED screen which Samsung had been using in almost every smartphone now. This smart watch may come with a resolution of 360 by 360p resolution along with the Exynos 3472 chipset paired with 768MB of RAM, Heart rate sensor, 4GB of integrated storage space, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, NFC along with the 2G call facility as well. This watch also comes with a battery of 250Mah. Samsung may announce this new smart wear alongside of Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ device on August 13, 2015.
