Samsung W789 Hennessy – Dual Screen Flip Android Phone Specs & Details

Well, we all were getting more information about the Samsung Galaxy Folder which was being rumored around, and the device did show up on the Samsung website, but all of a sudden, the Korean manufacturer comes up with another flip device – Samsung W789 Hennessy Dual Screen Flip android smartphone. The device has got two screens, and is powered by a quad-core processor and runs on the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS.

The Hennessy has been launched in the Chinese market and there’s no confirmation whether it would be confined only to the Chinese market or would be made available for the other markets in the coming future. One thing that keeps it different from the upcoming Galaxy Folder is the screen size, which is smaller than the expected Folder smartphone.

The device is 18.62mm thick, due to the two side screens and the flip along with the keypad, and the weight is 208gm. The screen size of each screen is 3.3-inch and these are the HVGA resolution TFT touchscreens with the screen resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. Although the low-key screen, there’s a quad-core processor clocking at 1.2 GHz and the battery is going to have a capacity of 1500 mAh.

There’s no specification about the internal storage, but the W789 does have an option of expandable storage with the MicroSD card, and there’s a 5 megapixel camera for the capturing. The connectivity options included are Bluetooth, USB 2.0, GPS, WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) and support for both CDMA and GSM networks.

We haven’t got any information about the pricing and availability of the Hennessy, but as of now it’s limited to the Chinese market and we would update this news whenever anything else goes live. Until then, do keep an eye on the Galaxy Folder page to get the latest details on the smartphone, which seems to be more advanced than the Hennessy, and is probably coming internationally rather than being confined to a particular market.

There’s been only the feature and basic phones and no smartphone with dual-screen in the Android device market, and thus the Hennessy could be a good hit already for coming as something new, and the Folder would take it to the next level later on.
