We have got no official news about this, but looking at the coverage, we feel that this is something to come for real. The chief minister for Gujarat state in India, Narendra Modi is getting more honor, by now having a smartphone by his name. Named as SmartNamo, this smartphone has got the name under NAMO = Narendra Modi and NAMO = Next Generation Android Mobile Odyssey.
“SmartNaMo is giving finishing touches to a smartphone which will be launched in order to show appreciation to Narendra Modi for the work he has done in Gujarat.” Sources further added, “In the next couple of week SmartNaMo team will present the smartphone to Narendra Modi and request him to grant permission to use his signature in all the NaMo branded smartphone.”
There’s different versions of the device being planned, and these are based on the RAM and storage, where one can get 1GB and 2GB RAM devices with storage options from 16GB to 64GB. The SmartNamo is said to come with a 1.5 Ghz MT6589 Turbo Chipset, and the camera would be a 13-megapixel one. The 5-inch screen is going to have a full HD with 1920 x 1080 pixels screen resolution.
This is typically going to be a Chinese handset, as the team from SmartNamo said they are from Gujarat and hold a smartphone business in China. The various versions that are to be seen, include:
- 1 GB RAM + 16 GB ROM
- 2 GB RAM + 16 GB ROM
- 2 GB RAM + 32 GB ROM
- 2 GB RAM + 64 GB ROM
We have not got any other details, as the website shows only this for now, but we would surely know about the phone and mainly whether it’s something for real or is just a news made up for some fun. The team has been quite active on their Facebook page, thus we are expecting all this to be very true, and there could be a lot of sale of this smartphone given the fan base and followers of Narendra Modi.
