Sony E5663 with 3GB RAM, 13MP Camera Spotted on Benchmarking Site

A new smartphone from Sony has been spotted on Benchmark websites, today. The Sony E5663 has appeared on a couple of benchmarks suggesting the model will have a 4.6-inch (1080 x 1920) display.

It will be powered by a MediaTek MT6795 chipset (1.9GHz octa-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor and PowerVR G6200 GPU). The chipset is capable of 480fps 1080p video. Other specs include 3GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. The benchmarks suggest that the Sony E5663 will sport a 13MP front-facing camera and a 21MP rear camera. It will run Android Lollipop out-of-the-box. The other specs include single SIM slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and accelerometer, proximity and light sensors.

The Sony E5663 model number suggests that this device will arrive first in India. The Sony Xperia M4 Aqua Dual and Xperia C4 Dual launched in India with model numbers E2363 and E5363 respectively. The ‘63’ in the last two digits across both model numbers. The Sony E5663 has recently appeared on Zauba, the Indian Import Database site, adding further credence to this rumour.
