The Sony Xperia Advance has come in as a low-cost Android smartphone in the US market, and the best thing about it is that the phone comes unlocked for a pricing of $250 and there is no contract you have to sign with any network provider. The phone is water resistant, and even resistant to dust and comes with decent specs.
The Xperia Advance is powered by a dual-core 1GHz Cortex-A9 processor, a Mail-400 GPU and 512MB of RAM, while the major drawback you can find in the device is the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, though there are talks that the device could be seeing an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update very soon, still nothing officially has been said by the company. The phone has a 3.5-inch WVGA touchscreen, and there is a 5-megapixel camera on the rear side.
Having a thickness of 0.4 inches at its thinnest point, the device is not a huge one and would surely be quite comfortable to hold in the hands, easy to carry and light in weight. There are a few disadvantages with the connectivity though, because with the T-Mobile network you won’t be able to connect even to the 3G networks and would be able to connect to just 2G ones.
