The Xperia V device from Russian electronic company Sony was announced back in August, at the IFA event in Berlin and since then we haven’t seen much about it except the excellent specs and features that made rounds, but the phone hasn’t yet come into the market. Now the European fans would be luckier than the others this time, because the Xperia V is entering the European markets in December, and it has got an excellent camera, waterproof body and much more.
To refresh about the specs of the Xperia V, the Sony Xperia V has got the following:
- 4.3 inch scratch-resistant TFT touchscreen
- 1280 x 720 pixels screen resolution
- Google Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich)
- 1.5GHz Qualcomm MSM8960 dual core processor
- 13 megapixel HD camera with auto focus – 16x digital zoom, photo flash
- Dust-proof and water-resistant (IP55 / IP57)
- 1GB of RAM
- 8GB Internal Memory – Expandable to 32GB using MicroSD slot
- 4G LTE Connectivity
The Xperia V would be available only in Black color, and the operating system included in it would be the 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich while there could be updates available pretty soon after the launch, as there have been two Jelly Bean versions already available in the market in many devices.
The 13-megapixel rear shooter is a great advantage, offering the video capturing at 1080p HD quality, and there is a 16x digital zoom with a photo flash. The camera of the Xperia V is able to select the most suitable scene mode for the capturing.
One could even call it a Walkman phone, as the Xperia V comes with the latest Walkman app having some exceptional features like connecting to the wireless speakers, creating and editing playlists, and the Clear+ feature which would find the best audio quality for the neat output. The phone is Dust-proof and Water-resistant, and the 4.3” HD Reality Display is powered by the Mobile BRAVIA® Engine 2 to provide an excellent graphics level. Sony has tagged along with Box, for providing a 50GB of cloud storage for the storage of the various files, if they were feeling out of space in their phone although it supports the storage till 32GB.
The Sony Xperia V would be available for a price of 24, 990 RUB, which is about €622, or $805 in the European market from early December, and although the price is quite high, the features are not what you would see in every other Android phone.
