After the several leaks and rumors spread around, we finally are seeing the Xperia Z Mini, that’s the Xperia Z1F Android smartphone officially announced by the NTT Docomo network in Japan. The standout feature, as earlier expected, is the same 20.7-megapixel camera that was retained from the Z1 which was recently launched. The screen size of the Z1F is 4.3-inch, and it is an HD display, with the resolution 1280 x 720 pixels.
Showing a comparative image, Sony says that the device would provide an excellent comfort to the hands and it is just slightly bigger than the new iPhone 5S from Apple. Given the small size, the Xperia Z1F is 9.7mm thick, and 140gm in weight. Sony hasn’t compromised with the internal specs, as it comes with a 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and that is backed by 2GB of RAM. There is a 2300 mAh battery packed in, and the device is good to run on the 150Mbps LTE network from NTT DoCoMo.
Just like the other Xperia series high-end devices, this one comes with the waterproof glass + aluminum framing and there are a few color options to choose from – Black, white, lime and pink.

Some snapshots of the Xperia Z1 f have been leaked again, and this time it makes it clear that Sony is almost ready to announce the mini version of the Xperia Z1 smartphone. It’s the Japanese tech blog, RBMen which has posted the picture showing the pages of the brochure from NTT DoCoMo which is titled “2013-2014 Winter Spring Models” and it shows the Xperia Z1 f in four different colors – black, white, yellow and pink.
Another thing that is understandable here is that Sony is retaining the G Lens camera in the Honami Mini, as that is what the pictures show. The website even claimed that the Sony Xperia Z1 f, modeled SO-02F is going to make itself announced on October 10th. There is no information whether the device would be announced in just Japan or globally at the same time.

After the official release of the Sony Xperia Z1 Honami, the details about its mini version weren’t just the rumors but they were the leaked details that were sent through the images. The rumors were already going on even before the launch of the Z1, but the official details now include most of which were the same, like the 4.3-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) Triluminos Display with X-Reality for Mobile, and the processor that would be included is the 2.2 GHz Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor chipset, and the Mini would run the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS.
Interestingly, we would be seeing yet another dust and water proof device with the IP55 / IP58 ratings for the resistance, and the new G Lens camera that we saw in the Xperia Z1, would be included in the Z1 f Honami Mini too, having a 20.7 megapixel camera with the 1080p Full HD video recording. Unlike the other recent Xperia devices from Sony, this one would be a bit thicker with the thickness of 9.4mm, which in comparison to the larger version, i.e. the Xperia Z1, is nearly an mm thicker, with the latter being 8.5mm in thickness.
We are sure to see this device officially launched by the company, but there’s no details about the locations where it would be available, except that the NTT Docomo in Japan would be selling it from late October. The different color options we would get to see, include the Black, White, Pink and Yellow colors.

While the rumors are still on for the SONY Honami, Honami Mini surfaces in terms of rumors. So, let’s check out on what are the detailed specs and features of this new smartphone which is more of a sibling of Honami which will be soon revealed. While the news are still on that SONY will be unveiling this all new smartphone in the upcoming IFA 2013, Honami mini Android phone too will be launched alongside.
