After becoming the No.1 smartphone maker in China and reaching the top five spot in the global smartphone manufacturers in the span of just four years, Xiaomi wants to make their position even more stronger in 2015. In January 2015, Xiaomi launched Mi Note and Mi Note Pro for $451 (64GB) and $532(64GB) respectively. Today specs of a new flagship device ‘Mi5’ are leaked through the Chinese social networking site Weibo.
Xiaomi, which recently launched the Mi 4i in India at a price of Rs.12,999 is no longer waiting to stay calm. Considering the information from Weibo, the Mi5 includes a 5.2-inch display, Snapdragon 810 processor with 3GB/4GB of RAM and a 16MP rear camera. The battery on the device will be of 3000mAh capacity. Xiaomi may supposed to include a fingerprint scanner since few weeks before xiaomi applied for a patent on the new fingerprint scanning technology. Till now the company hasn’t included the fingerprint scanner in the Mi4 or Mi Note.
The specs of a larger version of Mi5 called as Mi5Plus are also leaked featuring a 6-inch 2K display with bezel-less/borderless design, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage. The device has a 16MP rear camera with Optical Image Stabilization. It supposedly sports the same Snapdragon 810 chipset includes in the Mi5. There is no information on the availability or the price of the devices; we will update you if any information gets to us.
