Spice has been launching some decent Android smartphones in the budget range recently, and apart from the Spice Smart Flo Ivory 2, the company has launched the Spice Smart Flo Edge Mi-329 today, with a budget-friendly pricing of Rs. 3299. Available in both the online and offline stores and Spice retailers such as Saholic, the Smart Flo Edge comes with a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen and it runs the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS.
Although the low pricing, one would have expected the Android version to be at least the Android 4.0 ICS, because the Smart Flo Ivory 2 is coming with the Jelly Bean OS. The internal powering provided is 1 GHz dual-core processor, and the RAM included is 512 MB, with 256 MB ROM, and an expandable storage through the MicroSD card, to the maximum of 32 GB. It is a Dual SIM device with the dual Standby, and the connectivity supported by these SIM cards is the 2G EDGE connectivity.
Spice Mobility (Devices) CEO T.M Ramakrishnan said in a statement:
“We have witnessed massive growth in the smartphones segment and have been delivering the best android experience without sacrificing on performance or features. As the demand for Android powered phones in India continues to grow significantly, we remain committed to enhance our portfolio of smartphones to deliver wider choices across affordable price points to our customers,”
The phone has got two cameras, a 1.3 megapixel rear + VGA front shooter which although might not do much with the capturing, but still would be an added feature for the ones with tight budgets. There is a 1500 mAh battery included in the Spice Smart Flo Edge Mi-329. The pricing at which it is available, is Rs. 3299 right now.
