Spice has just launched a new Android smartphone which comes with a hard metal body and it’s a part of the Smart Flo series, as the Spice Smart Flo Mettle 5X is officially available at the price of Rs. 6499. The Mettle has a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen with the display having a screen resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. Going by the design, the phone looks quite similar to the Canvas Turbo from Micromax and the HTC One on the back surface. There are some very decent specifications for the price at which this phone is being sold. 
The 5-inch Spice Smart Flo Mettle comes with a 1.3 GHz dual-core processor and there is a 512MB of RAM supporting the multitasking. It runs the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS but connectivity wise, there is nothing much to expect because the Mettle won’t support the data network connectivity to more than 2G EDGE, though the other options are there – Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS. The smartphone has a 8-megapixel rear camera with the LED flash and autofocus, and there is a 1.3-megapixel front facing camera.
The Smart Flo Mettle 5X comes with the pre-loaded apps from the company itself and one of them includes the BBM messenger for Android. Some of the special features included in the interface are Voice Unlock, 4 unique launchers, 3 feather touch keys, Flip to mute feature, power saver app. The internal storage provided in the Mettle 5x is 4GB and this can be expanded to 32GB using the MicroSD card. The battery in the smartphone comes with the capacity of 1800 mAh. The pricing is set at Rs. 6499 and for a phone having a metal body, it’s quite good because one would have a feel of holding a heavy and strong device, and the weight too is higher than many other smartphones around, 190gm. The device comes with a free flip cover.
