Pune-based smart device company Swipe Technologies today launched a new affordable 4G smartphone called as Swipe Elite 2. According to the brand, Elite 2 is the most affordable 4G smartphone and will be available for sale online exclusively via Flipkart from November 8 priced at Rs. 4,666.
Swipe has also collaborated with cabs aggregator Uber to give the Elite 2 smartphone to the riders of the Uber in cities like Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Delhi starting from October 30th to November 7th. The only thing the customer has to do is upload the latest receipt of their uber ride on the Swipe web page to avail the Elite 2 smartphone. They will also have the option to make the payment through cash-on-delivery.
Coming to its specifications, the Swipe Elite 2 flaunts a 4.5-inch qHD IPS display, and it comes powered by 64-bit MediaTek quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz accompanied with 1GB of RAM. The device comes with 8GB of internal storage that can be further expanded to 32GB using a microSD card slot. It comes backed by a 1900mAh battery with Quick charge support that company claims can fully charge the device in 1 hour 30 minutes.
On the camera cordon, it sports an 8MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front snapper for selfie lovers. The smartphone has dual sim support for 4G and also comes with standard connectivity options like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and a microUSB port with OTG functionality. The handset runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based Freedom OS out of the box, which has customization features like India-centric themes, wallpapers and different fonts.
A quick recall, Swipe has earlier launched a most economical 4G tablet dubbed as Ace Strike priced at Rs. 6,999. The tablet features a 6.9-inch IPS display, 64-bit quad-core SoC, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, 5MP rear camera, 2MP front shooter and 4000mAh battery. The main highlight of the tablet is it offers the ease-of-use feature that enables one hand operation and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.
