Upgrade to Android 4.0.3 ICS Pack Via Samsung KIES

This update is been delivered to Samsung Galaxy S II variant on T-Mobile via Samsung KIES only and follow the below procedure to begin with –

  • First make sure that you download the Samsung KIES.
  • Once the installation is completed, launch the installer and then reboot your system if required. That completes the installation of Samsung KIES and open it.
  • Once you open, you would be prompted to update Samsung KIES, tap on Update.KIES update
  • Now connect your Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989 using the USB cable to the PC.
  • Once the Samsung KIES recognizes your phone it will shown on the upper left side navigation phone in the connected menu, which means that your phone is successfully connected.Device Connected KIES
  • You would then get an upgrade notifications automatically in a pop up similar to one belowKIES notify
  • Tap on Update

  • After few minutes when the download of files would be completed, KIES will automatically transfer them to your device.KIES

  • When the upgrade process is completed you will see the following pop-up windowsOK

  • Click on OK and disconnect your phone safety.
