SMS – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Contacts – Sync with the Gmail application,
Call Log – Call Log and Restore
Images, Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card,
APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names

From the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”, enable the USB Debugging and also make sure that your device is left with the minimum of 40% or the device will get turned off in the middle of rooting process.

Guide to Revert your Galaxy ACE S5830 to the Default / Official Firware:

  • First up you need to download the Galaxy Ace Tool package in your computer. Once downloaded, you need to extract the same in your computer.

  • Open the Galaxy Ace tool in your computer and browse the tar file which you will get upon extraction and once you select the same, you will have to click on “Copy” button and open the Cygwin window in your computer by clicking on the same.

  • In the Cygwin Window, you will have to type in the command as “cd ./work” and click on “Enter”. Up next you will have to type in the Cygwin Window the command as “splitfus2.exe_w2*.tar.md5” and then click on “Enter” and wait for few minutes of time so that the command is processed.
  • After the splitting of the file is done, you then will have to open the folder by clicking on “Open Folder” and then select on the “Odin” for opening the same. You can refer the below mentioned image for more details. In Odin you need to select the PDA file and then click on Flash to apply the firmware update.

Note: Just in a rare case if the device doesn’t boot up or show the home screen then remove the battery and reinsert the same to boot the device again in the normal mode.
