UMI Hammer with 5″ Display, 4G Support available in India at Rs.10,999

The Chinese smartphone maker Umi has listed their first smartphone in India, today. The Umi Hammer has been listed on the Flipkart at the price of 10,999. Yesterday, another Chinese handset maker, Elephone entered the Indian market with the launch of a new smartphone exclusively on Snapdeal. The new smartphone, named Elephone G7, will be available at Rs.8,888 on Snapdeal in black, white and gold colour option.

The Umi Hammer comes with a 5-inch IPS Display with 1280×720 pixels of resolution. It is powered by an MT6732 Quad Core 1.5GHz processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. You can keep all data in its 16GB storage. Memory can be more expandable via micro SD card up to 64GB to keep all songs, films and photos. The phone runs on latest Android 4.4 KitKat operating system

Umi Hammer phone comes with a 13 Mega Pixel rear camera and 3.2-megapixel front camera. It has a Dual-SIM (LTE+GSM /both micro) card option. This also supports dual standby facility. It is powered by a 2250mAh Li-ion battery for long hours of back up and talk time. Data and Connectivity options include 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth, micro-USB, Mobile hotspot, GPS / A-GPS and 3.5mm audio jack.

Recently, the Chinese handset maker UMI teased a new ZERO 2 smartphone with dual-screen. Following the suit of YotaPhone and YotaPhone 2, the newcomer appeared in a teaser image on UMI’s official Facebook page. UMI ZERO 2 has a secondary E Ink display on its back, just like the YotaPhone.

The rumoured specs include a 5.2” 1080p display, MediaTek MT6752 mobile chipset, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, 13MP rear snapper, and 8MP front-facing camera. UMI is expected to launch the ZERO 2 for about $500.
