As we earlier reported, Umi launched its ‘Hammer S‘ which is the updated version for last year’s Hammer. The company priced this device at $150 and offered some unique and flagship features. It comes with Type-C USB port and fingerprint scanner for extra security.
Coming to the specifications, the Hammer S features a 5.5-inch HD (1280×720) display with 2.5D glass and is powered by MediaTek MT6735 quad-core processor clocked at 1.0GHz with 2GB of RAM. It has 16GB of internal storage with microSD card slot for storage expansion via hybrid SIM slot.
As seen on the image, the 13MP rear camera with Sony IMX179 sensor comes equipped by the dual LED flash while the fingerprint scanner had placed below the camera module. It has a 2MP front camera fro selfies.
The device will be available to purchase starting from September 15 and while the price of the device in China $150, it is priced at $160 for international variants with free shipping.
The device measures 154 x 77.4 x 8.5 mm and weighs 148 grams. It has a battery of 3,200mAh capacity that offers up to 8-10 days of standby time. Connectivity on the device includes Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB 2.0. The device is available in the colors – White and Black.
