UMI Mobile has launched their most recent Android smartphone, the UMI X3 with a 5.5-inch display with the One-glass solution screen (OGS) and some other good specifications, and the price set for this smartphone is US $349.99. The UMI X3 has the Full HD resolution display under the 5.5-inch screen and it comes with the One-glass solution where the three components of the screen comes combined.
The UMI X3 (UMI XIII) comes with the Dual-SIM connectivity, and it supports up to 3G Data network connectivity along with the several other connectivity options. Running the Octa-core chipset from Mediatek, the MTK6592 with the clocking speed of 1.7 GHz, the smartphone has a 2GB RAM support for the multitasking. The high-end details don’t end with the core stuff, but the cameras too are pretty good – with the 16-megapixel rear shooter and the 8-megapixel front facing camera. The rear camera is assisted by the LED flash and the various features in the camera app.
The X3 is coming with two versions based on the storage, i.e. the internal storage of 16GB and 32GB. There is an expandable storage possible on both the versions, to the maximum of 64GB though. The device looks unibody because there are slots visible for the MicroSD card and the SIM card on the sides, and the interface looks quite different for the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS running in it.
There are two color options – White and Black, and the pricing of $349.99 looks quite decent for what is being provided in this, and this doesn’t look any different than the Gionee Elife E7 when comparing most of the specs, except for the processor which is from Qualcomm in the Elife E7. For now, the device is shown “Out of stock” at the official website of UMI.
