Good news for Samsung Galaxy Note lovers in US as online retailer Amazon has started offering unlocked Samsung Galaxy Note 4. All major US carriers will start selling the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 on the official launch date i.e. October 17th. Amazon is offering an unlocked variant of the devices. The device is available in 32 GB model but without any warranty on it. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 was unveiled by the company at its pre-IFA 2014 event in September. Amazon is offering unlocked Samsung Galaxy Note 4 for $868.99 for white while $854.88 for Black variants. The gold version can also be purchased for $904.88.
The Galaxy Note 4 features a 5.7-inch Quad HD (2560×1440) Super AMOLED display. It is powered by an Octa-core Exynos 5433 chipset. It has 3GB of RAM. It runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat with the company own Touch Wiz UI. It weighs in at 176 grams and is 8.5mm-thick. Galaxy Note 4 would be available in 4G LTE and 4G LTE Cat.6 (LTE Advanced) variants, depending on the region.
The phablet comes with 16-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization at rear and a 3.7-megapixel front-facing camera. It is powered by a 3,220 mAh battery. It also comes with the traditional S Pen stylus and is the first Galaxy Note smartphone to feature a metallic body. Samsung is offering Note 4 with storage option of 32GB only, with support for 64GB microSD cards for more storage.
Samsung has also included a fingerprint sensor (embedded in the Home key) and heart rate monitor (on the back) in Galaxy Note 4.These features were seen in Galaxy S5 also. Samsung has included a barometer and hall sensor in Note 4.
Galaxy Note 4 is also available at Expansys USA starting from $850.Indian users have to wait a bit long as Samsung is yet to launch Note 4 officially in India. Samsung has started sending invites for an event scheduled on 14 October where it is likely to announce its launch. It is expected to go on for sale in India before Diwali.
