Procedure to Update Virtuous Custom ROM Firmware in ASUS Eee PAD Transformer:
- ASUS Eee Pad Transformer should be rooted as it doesn’t work on the non rooted phones.
- Download the Custom ROM Firmware package from here to your computer. Once you download the same, you need to connect your Eee Pad transformer to place this zip file in your tab.
- After this, remove the connected USB cable and then enable the USB Debugging Mode in your Tab. USB Debugging Mode from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging. Ensure that the USB Debugging option is ticked as shown in the below screen capture.
- Turn Off your device so that the device can be entered in the recovery mode. The recovery mode can be entered by holding the Volume down button and then press the power button after which a splash screen will be appeared with some white text on the left top corner.
- After this you need to press the Volume Up key so as to boot the device in the CWM recovery mode. In the recovery mode, you need to select options Wipe data/factory reset and also you need to select Wipe Cache partition after which all the cache data will be deleted in your device.
- Now, Select “install zip from sd card” > “choose zip from sd card” and then locate the Custom ROM Zip file which you have placed in your phone and then select the same by pressing the Power button.
- Once the device is updated successfully, select “++++ Go Back ++++” and select “reboot system now” which will reboot the device.
Note: The device may take longer than expected time to boot the device and to show up the home screen as it’s the first reboot after the firmware update. Also just in case if the process gets stuck at any point of time then you need to re insert the battery and re follow the instructions mentioned in the article.
