Procedure to Update Samsung Galaxy SL I9003 with Gingerbread 2.3.6 ZCKPC Firmware:
- Download Gingerbread 2.3.6 ZCKPC Firmware Zip package from here to your computer.
- Extract the Zip package in your computer with the help of WinRAR or Win zip. For your convenience we haven’t added any password to the file. Once extracted, open Odin from here to your computer. Enable the USB Debugging in your phone from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging. Ensure that the USB Debugging option is ticked.
- Now, turn Off the phone so that I9003 can be entered in the Download Mode. The Download mode mode can be entered by pressing Volume Down Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button. You can refer the below mentioned video on how you can enter into the download mode.
- Connect Galaxy SL I9003 in download mode to computer with the help of USB Cable while keeping Odin opened. After driver installation process, ID:COM section in Odin will turn yellow indicating that you are now ready to proceed to the next step.
- In Odin, click on “PDA” and select “I9003ZCKPC_I9003ZCKPC_I9003OZHKPC.tar.md5” file which you can select from the extracted zip file. Click on “Start” to start the process of firmware update. It will take around 5 minutes for the phone to get applied this firmware.
- Once the firmware updation process is completed, the device will reboot automatically. Now, disconnect the phone from the computer and turn Off your phone so that device can be entered in the recovery mode.
- Recovery mode can be entered by pressing up on Volume Down Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button. Once you enter into the recovery mode, choose the options Wipe data/factory reset and also you need to select Wipe Cache partition and then reboot your device by selecting reboot system now option.
- To check whether your Galaxy SL I9003 is on the ZCKPC firmware or not, the same can be checked from the path “Settings > About Phone > Firmware Version” where it should show the current firmware is ZCKPC firmware. If there is any other version being shown then you need to apply the firmware by following the instructions again.
