Tutorial to Update Galaxy S GT I9000 with Dark night ICS 4.0.4 Custom ROM Firmware:
- Assuming that you have downloaded the ICS Dark Night Custom ROM Firmware Package from the Essential Pre Requisites Section mentioned in the previous page, you now need to connect your phone to the computer and place this downloaded Zip file in your phone’s SD Card. Ensure that you haven’t placed the SD Card deep into the device.
- The recovery mode can be entered by pressing the Volume Up Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button. You can also refer to the video below to know more on how you can enter into the recovery mode. If the phone boots in the normal mode then you need to try entering again into the recovery mode.
- In the recovery mode, you need to select “install zip from sd card” > “choose zip from sd card” and then choose the ICS Dark Night Custom ROM Firmware Package which is placed in the phone.
- Once the process is done, you will see that the recovery mode screen will be shown again where you will have to select “++++ Go Back ++++” and then choose the option of “reboot system now” for rebooting the system. If the phone refuses to show the home screen even after 5 minutes of restart, you need to then reinsert the battery.
Tip: Just in case if due to some reasons if the update process gets failed or interrupted, then you need to apply the update again by following the steps again from the start. Don’t forget to restore the backup which you have taken in the initial steps.
