Procedure to Update Galaxy S GT I9000 with XWJW6 Firmware:
- Download the latest XWJW6 Firmware Package along with Odin in your computer. Extract the firmware package and open the Odin executable file in your computer.
- Turn Off your Galaxy S I9000 to enter in the download mode. Download mode can be entered by pressing Volume down Key, Center button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button after which a green robot will be shown indicating the Download Mode has been entered. Up next, connect Galaxy S GT I9000 to the computer using the USB cable which you got at the time of purchase.
- Click on “PDA” tab and select the file .tar file which you can find from extracted files and click on “Start”. It will take around 4 – 5 minutes to apply this update. Note: If the Odin gives error at param.fs or say at any point then you will have to reboot your computer and try applying the process from the start. Ensure that you have installed all the latest possible drivers of your phone. Also, KIES should be the latest version.
