Procedure to Update Galaxy S II T989 with DARKSIDE.EVOLUTION.3 Custom ROM Firmware:
- Download the CWM RECOVERY 5.0.2.7 Package & Darkside Evolution Package from here to your computer. Once downloaded you now need to connect your phone to the computer with the help of USB cable and place these both downloaded files
- Recovery mode in Galaxy S II T989 can be entered by holding the Volume Up button + the Home key button (the middle button). While holding these both buttons, turn ON your device. In recovery mode, select “Wipe data/factory reset” & “Wipe Cache partition”. Up next, select “advanced” and clear the Dalvik cache too if you are on the custom ROM firmware.
- Up next select “install zip from sd card” > “choose zip from sd card” and then all you need to do is to just select the “CWM RECOVERY 5.0.2.7 Package” to install the appropriate recovery image in your device.
- After this, in the recovery mode, similarly you will need to select “Darkside Evolution Package” custom Rom firmware. It will take around 4 -5 minutes for applying this update. Once it’s done, you now need to select the option of “reboot system now” for rebooting the device in the normal mode.
Note: If your S2 refuses to boot up or fails to get started, then you will have to re insert the battery and reboot the device so as to start your phone. If the firmware update gets failed, then you need to again re try the whole process.
