Procedure to Update IMM76I Elite v11 in your Samsung Galaxy S GT I9000:
- Download Elite v11 IMM76I Firmware Package (Alternate Link) from here to your computer and once you download the same, you need to connect the phone to the computer and place this download zip file in your device’s SD Card.
- Disconnect the phone from the computer and now ensure that the ROM manager is installed in your computer. After installing the ROM Manager, flash the Clock Work mod recovery in your device by opening the ROM Manager app. You can install this CWM by following the simple on screen instructions.
- Turn Off the phone so as to enter the device in the recovery mode. The Galaxy S I9000 can be entered into recovery mode by holding the Volume Up button + the Home key button (the middle button). While holding these both buttons, you need to turn ON your device.
- Now, in the recovery mode, you need to select “install zip from sd card” > “choose zip from sd card” and then choose the “Elite v11 Zip file” which is placed in the phone. As soon as the file is selected, it will take around 5 – 7 minutes for applying this update.
- Once the firmware is updated successfully, the phone will return back to the recovery mode screen. In recovery mode, select “++++ Go Back ++++” and then choose the option of “reboot system now” for rebooting the system. If the phone refuses to show the home screen even after 3 – 4 minutes of restart, you need to then reinsert the battery.
Tip: Just in case if the device doesn’t get booted up, you need to now re insert the battery and then try re following the procedure from the start.
