Procedure to Update Galaxy Nexus with Parandroid Custom ROM Firmware:
- Download the Parandroid Custom ROM firmware, Google Apps Package & Parandroid Fix from here to your computer. Once downloaded, connect your phone to the computer and once it’s done disconnect the phone from computer.
- Turn off the Galaxy Nexus so that it can be entered in the Boot loader mode. Boot loader mode can be entered by pressing the Volume Up + Volume Down and then simultaneously press the Power button till you see the boot loader mode screen. Just in case if the phone boots up in the normal mode, then you need to again try entering the device in the boot loader mode.
- In boot loader, mode, you need to select the option of “recovery mode” with the help of Volume keys and press the power button to confirm the same. Now, in recovery mode, you need to select “install zip from sd card” > “choose zip from sd card” and then choose the “Parandroid Custom Firmware Package”, “Google Apps” & “”which you have placed in your device. The whole process of this update will take around 5 – 8 minutes.
- As soon as the update is applied, the device will either reboot or will enter into the recovery mode. If the device lands on the recovery mode screen, select “++++ Go Back ++++” and then choose the option of “reboot system now” for rebooting the system. If the phone refuses to show the home screen even after 3 – 4 minutes of restart, you need to then reinsert the battery.
Note: At any point of time just in case if the process of firmware update gets stopped due to any reason, all you need to do is restart the process from the start by re inserting the battery.
