Procedure to Update Galaxy S GT I9000 with S3 themed Custom ROM Firmware:
- Download the Galaxy S3 Themed Firmware package from here to your computer. Once downloaded, you now need to connect your phone to the computer. Place the downloaded zip file in your device’s SD Card. Ensure that you are not placing the file deep into the device or else it won’t be detected in the device.
- Turn Off the phone so as to enter the device in the recovery mode. The Galaxy S I9000 can be entered into recovery mode by holding the Volume Up button + the Home key button (the middle button). While holding these both buttons, you need to turn ON your device.
- Now, in the recovery mode, you need to select “install zip from sd card” > “choose zip from sd card” and then choose the “Galaxy S3 themed custom ROM Firmware” which is placed in the phone . As soon as the file is selected, it will take around 5 – 7 minutes for applying this update
- Once it’s updated, the device will either be landed in the recovery screen or it will be rebooted automatically. If the device boots in the recovery screen, select “++++ Go Back ++++” and then choose the option of “reboot system now” for rebooting the system.
Note: Just in case if the device booted up or gets into the boot loop mode then you need to re follow the above mentioned steps with the help of above mentioned instructions. Don’t forget to restore the backup which you have taken in the initial steps.
