Procedure to Update Galaxy S2 I9100 with Parandroid Jellybean 4.2.2 Firmware:
- Download parandroid Custom ROM Firmware Package and Google Apps in your computer. Right click on both the files, click on “Properties” to click on “Unblock” and OK.
- Connect your Galaxy S2 to the computer with the help of original USB cable and place these two files in your device. Ensure that you are not placing the files deep into the sub folders. Once files are copied, disconnect the device from computer.
- Recovery Mode in Galaxy S2 can be entered by pressing the Volume Up rocker key + Menu Button and holding these both, press the power button at the same time. Alternatively, you can enter the device in the recovery mode with the help of ROM Manager app from the Google PLAY Store and select the option of “install clockwork mod recovery” > reboot into recovery.
- In recovery mode, select the option of “install zip from zip card” to select the Parandroid Custom rom Firmware Package and Google Apps Package which you have placed in your device in the initial step. Once selected, you need to confirm the same by pressing the power button. After selecting, it will take around 4 -5 minutes for applying both the packages in your device.
Note: If the device gets into the boot loop sequence or say gets stuck in the welcome screen, just re insert the battery and re follow the above instructions so as to again follow the above mentioned instructions.
You can check the firmware update from the path “Settings > About Phone > Firmware Version” where the firmware update version will be mentioned.
