Procedure to Update HTC Incredible S with MIUI Custom ROM:
- Download MIUI Package for Incredible S Package in your computer and then you need to connect your phone to the computer using the USB cable which you got at the time of purchase.
- Now, without renaming or modifying the Zip file which you downloaded, copy the same to your device’s SD Card. After this disconnect the phone from your computer.
- Now, enable the USB Debugging in your phone from the path Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging as shown in the below image. Also, if at all there are any Antivirus suites installed in your phone then remove or disable the same.
- Now, turn Off the phone so that you can enter into the recovery mode. To enter into the recovery mode, press the volume Down Key and simultaneously you need to press the Power button so as to enter in the boot loader Mode. In the boot loader mode, you then need to tap on the “Recovery” option as shown in the below image.
- Once you enter into the recovery mode, you need to select “Clear storage” which will clear all the data which is there in your phone. After this, select “install zip from SD Card” > “Choose zip from SD Card” to select the zip file of MIUI which you have placed in the phone.
- Once you select the zip file, the updation process will take around 10 – 15 minutes after which the device will again land up in the recovery mode. Select “++++ Go Back ++++” and choose “reboot system now”. Just in case if in an unfortunate event if the process gets interrupted then you will have to repeat the whole procedure from the start so as to again successfully update the phone.
