Procedure to Update HTC One X with Jellybean 4.1 Firmware Update:
- Download the HTC One X Jellybean 4.1 Firmware Update Package & Google Apps Package from here to your computer. Once downloaded, connect your HTC One X in the mass storage mode to the computer with the help of original USB cable.
- Once you copy the Jellybean 4.1 Zip package & Google Apps package in your One X, turn off the device so that it can be entered in the recovery mode via the Boot loader mode.
- The Boot loader mode in HTC One X can be entered by pressing Volume UP Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button. If the phone boots in the normal mode then you need to try again to enter into the boot loader mode.
- Now, in the boot loader mode, you need to select “recovery” so as to enter into the recovery mode. In recovery mode, select Wipe data/factory reset and also you need to select Wipe Cache partition for clearing all the cache data.
- Select install zip from sd card, then select choose zip from sd card. Scroll down to select “Jellybean 4.1 Firmware Update Package” and then “Google Apps package” which you have placed in the SD card. It will take up to 10 minutes for applying this Jellybean 4.1 release. If the device doesn’t boot up even after 10 minutes, you need to long press the power button to turn off the device and re follow the instructions for applying this update.
Tip: If your HTC One X refuses to boot up or say gets into the boot loop mode, then you need to re-apply the whole process from the start so as to make sure that the device is updated with this firmware.
