Procedure to Update ICS Android 4.0.3 Firmware in HTC Sensation:
- First up you need to Download Insert Coin 5.0.2 Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.3 Custom ROM Firmware from here to your computer.
- After downloading, connect your phone to the computer with the help of USB cable and move the firmware zip file in phone. Ensure that you haven’t placed this file deep into the folders or else it may not get detected.
- Now, you need to turn Off the device so as to enter your device in the recovery mode. Press the Volume Down button and press Power button to start the phone. Now, once the phone gets ON, select “Boot loader” by pressing the Power button.
- Now, in the recovery mode you will have to back up the existing Working ROM and select Backup and Restore to select Backup. In recovery mode select “Wipe data/factory reset” & “Wipe Cache partition” so that this will clear the cache. Select “install zip from SD card” > “choose zip from sd card” after which you need to select the placed “Super Wipe Package Script” and then followed by which you need to select the Insert Coin 5.0.2 Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.3 Custom ROM Firmware File which you have placed in the phone.
- Now, once the device is updated with this Custom ROM Firmware, select “reboot system now” option to reboot the device. Just in case if the device is not updated successfully, you need to apply the steps again from the start.
Note: Restore all the data which you have backed up. Also, most importantly you need to ensure that you have configured the APN Settings in your phone so as to access the Internet in your phone.
